Statement on the involvement of Mr. Michael Oliver, The Phoenix Foundation, and the Ocean Life Research Foundation as well as any and all associates - The individuals who were associated with the former Republic and it's subsequent collapse no longer desire to be associated with the Minervan State in any way, and did communicate to the current government that that they had no continuing interest in the Republic of Minerva or any associated projects. In 2003 the Principality was established as the new and official government of the Minervan state, predicated through a nonviolent transfer of duty and claim to representatives of the current government in the form of certified letter. This gave the Principality full right to establish itself as the legitimate government of the isles. In a certified letter from Republic founder Michael Oliver to Prince Calvin he stated that, "I cannot stop you from declaring Minerva a Principality," and that he wished to "refrain from [being tied]" to any further obligations to any "Minerva project." Mr. Michael Oliver, The Phoenix Foundation, the Ocean Life Research Foundation and any and all directors, agents or associates are NO LONGER AFFILIATED with the Principality of Minerva or any associated "Minerva project", as per their explicit request. Added October 5, 2005.
Nature of the Organization(s) - The Minervan Commission is not a registered for-profit or non-profit organization, business or corporation within the United States, and makes no claims to such. HRH Prince Calvin and all associates, collectively known as The Minervan Commission, represents the political movement of the Principality of Minerva and the Free Minerva! Campaign within the United States and occasionally to other governments and non-governmental organizations. The Minervan Commission is a political cause and movement that is representative of the current exiled government of the State of Minerva holding legitimate territorial claim to the Minervan Isles/Reefs, currently embodied by the Principality of Minerva, and formerly the Republic of Minerva, which was abandoned to the Principality on July 13, 2004 by certified statement. The Principality of Minerva has not been recognized diplomatically by the United States of America and is not a member of the United Nations as of the date of this publishing. The Principality makes no claims of any official affiliation, past, present or future, with Michael Oliver or any of his associates. The Principality makes no claims of any official affiliation, past, present or future, with the former Republic of Minerva other than that which has been previously disclosed. The Principality is the latest legitimate and de facto administrative organ due to years of failed attempts at liberation and control by Republic associates. On October 1, 2003, the reformed Minervan government was founded. The Principality of Minerva is the most recent iteration of the de jure Minervan State, which is currently in exile. Added October 12, 2005.
